Ceiling Work to Begin June 25 on the 3rd Floor

Installation of the fire suppression sprinkler system on the 3rd floor is scheduled to begin on June 25. The work will progress through the floor in phases and the construction contractor’s dates for these phases are below.  The floor chart to the right outlines the location of the work in each phase.

Phase 1: (6/25 – 7/11) 
Area location: northwest quadrant of the building

• Faculty carrels affected: F317-F327 
• Grad student carrels affected: carrels in areas  along the northwest wall of the building  

Phase 2: (7/14 - 7/28) 
Area location: southwest quadrant of the building

• Faculty carrels affected: F309-F316 
• Grad student carrels affected: carrels in areas  along the southwest wall of the building 

Phase 3: (7/28 – 8/8) 
Area location: southeast quadrant of the building

• Faculty carrels affected: F301-F308 

Phase 4: (8/14 – 8/22) 
Area location: northeast quadrant of the building

• Faculty carrels affected: F328-F332 

During each phase the book shelf ranges in the area where the work is outlined will be covered with plastic sheeting and will be retrieved for users by library staff.
